Oh my goodness, I am happy that you are about to visit the Ambedkar memorial park. The unique architecture of this place is remarkable.

It is not as green as it should. Although the park homes various statues and structures of famous historical significance.

It is also known as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal. It Built in the BSP government under the administration of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Mayawati.

Altogether This park is dedicated to social reformers, social activists, freedom fighters, politicians, and philosophers. Additionally, the Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar statue is the main point of attraction. He is also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar.

After reaching here, what one sees is that the red stone around it and this view will surprise. You will surprise that each of these red stones brought from Rajasthan.

One of The entrances of the park is unique. You would be welcome by sixty majestic stone elephants.

Through the way, you’ll see less crowd here. On the contrary, the 14th of April, which is the birthday of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. On the day while strolling here, all would be mesmerized by the importance of this monument.

When is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit this park is during the winter season or between November and March.

If you are coming here in the summer, then come in the morning or evening. There is scorching heat in the afternoon. In the summer, strolling on marble will ruin your feet and drain your energy.

Please do not forget to carry summer sunglasses because the sun rays might fall on your eyes after reflection from marbles.

Parking facility

If you are coming by your vehicle, you do not have to worry. A parking facility is available here. You can safely park your transports. The price of the parking is nominal. It is just in front of the main gate to this park.

You would have to pay 20 ₹ for 4-wheelers, for 2-wheelers only 10 ₹.

Nearest metro station

Although there is no metro station for this, even I believe the nearest metro station is the Sachivalaya Lucknow metro station. We can take an E-Rickshaw to reach the park via Lohia Path from the metro.

Plants and flowers

Even I desire that there should be plenty of trees and plants however the Government has planted some high-quality bushes and flora. So the lush green area adds to the sweetness of this monument. I may also have identified some, which I would try to list here.

  • No water facility inside, only at the entrance.
  • More waste bins should be here.
  • Toilets unclean and poorly maintained.
  • No English toilet for senior citizens.
